Eclair v0.2-alpha8 includes various GUI fixes and includes a fix of a major bug which prevented claiming funds in certain scenarios. The eclair developers also added support for assisted routes in payment requests and API improvements. This release includes a breaking change in local database format; all channels need to be closed before updating.

The eclair project, one of the popular Lightning Network clients, merged GitHub PR #312 adding a feature to check if a payment request has actually been paid. The new feature adds two methods: allpayments and payments. Both methods may be used through the JSON RPC API. By querying the node for a paymentHash, if the payment is found, then it has been received and if it is not found, then the payment has not been received.
This release includes bug fixes, Implemented change in BOLT11 “r” field, improved docker build, reduced default fees, and set the default unit to milliBTC in GUI.
